About Navigating My Home

My Home is your welcome page and starting point inside D2L. It is the central hub of for news items, classes, links, and discussions. You can also set up your profile, make changes to your email address, and edit your preferences.

Below is a preview of commonly used features and functions on My Home. For a complete detailed description of the features and functions, see the Desire2Learn Help. (Click Learning Environment > Getting Started > Understanding My Home and Course Home)

Overview of My Home: My Settings (A), Navigation bar (B), My Courses (C).
To customize your D2L experience, click on any of the links in the My Settings (A) widget.
Profile lets you upload information about yourself that you wish to share with other users.
Preferences lets you change various options in how you view and interact with tools in D2L.
To control how you receive notifications about activity in your courses, click on Notifications..
View my Progress is a way to view your progress with checklists for a specific class.
The Navigation Bar (B) gives you access to links such as Email Calendar and Locker that may be used inside or outside a particular course.
From the My Courses (C) widget, click on one of your courses in which you are enrolled to gain access.
