About Quizzes

Use the Quizzes tool to take a quiz, review your quiz results, and see class statistics for a quiz.

Below is a preview of commonly used features and functions of the Quizzes tool. For a complete detailed description of the features and functions, see the Desire2Learn Help. (Click Learning Environment > Assessment Tool > Content)

Accessing Quizzes

To access Quizzes, from the Course Navigation bar, click Quizzes.

On the Quizzes page, you will find a quiz list showing all quizzes that your instructor has made available for your viewing. To open a Quiz, start by clicking on its link in your quiz list.

After clicking on the link, you are directed to the Quiz Summary page. The summary gives the student a Description (A), Quiz Details (B), an Introduction (C), and Instructions (D) that are provided by the instructor.

To Start a Quiz

To start a quiz, select the "Start Quiz!" link on your Quiz Summary page.

You will then be prompted to confirm that you're ready to start your quiz.

Submitting your Quiz

While taking the quiz, click the Save button before continuing onto the next question. In the Quiz Info area, each question that has a saved answer will have a blue floppy disc icon.

Once the student saves the last answer for the quiz, it is recommended that the student clicks "Save All Responses (A)" for reassurance that all answers were saved. The student should click the "Go To Submit Quiz (B)" button now.

The student is now on the Submission Confirmation page. Review the Quiz Info area for the final time. To submit the quiz, click the "Submit Quiz" button.

You will then be prompted to confirm that you're ready to submit your quiz. By clicking
"Yes," the student confirms the submission.

After the student confirms the quiz submission, the quiz submission page appears. Results for that attempt is shown based on the criteria set by the course instructor.
