The format for this course includes scheduled assignments and deadlines, offline reading assignments and projects, online readings and participation using web pages, email, and discussion boards. Students need to read all of the information on this page before taking the course to make sure they understand the requirements. Students have the choice to meet for a one-day face-to-face meeting on campus at the end of the term or submit an alternate online assignment. The face-to-face meeting date will be posted on the course syllabus.

Grades will be derived through the following methods: online discussion participation, portfolio of art production, teacher resource notebook, three approved museum/gallery visit reflections during the fall and spring semesters, and two during the summer semester, and a written critique.Effort Expected
This is a 3-credit-hour course. You should expect to work 2 to 4 hours per week for each credit hour. To be successful in this course you should expect to spend about 6-12 hours a week on readings, assignments, discussions, and other activities. This estimate is for the fall and spring semesters; if the course is offered during the summer course, more time per week may be necessary.Technical Requirements for the Course
Students should meet the minimum technical requirements for any course. In addition, students will be issued an art materials list to complete art production pieces.Before the Course Begins
