Course Description
ELE 351 is an in-depth review of pedagogy and professional responsibilities for planning and implementing responsive instruction and assessment for the EC-6 learner, creating a positive classroom environment, and fulfilling professional roles and responsibilities.  

Textbook Requirements

  1. Anderson, S. C., Jinkins, D., Edmonson, S. L., Platt, G. M., Harris, S. A., Rosado, L. A. The Best Test Preparation for the TExES PPR 2004 Edition (required).
  2. Blackboard materials, class readings,  and course aides (required)

Course Prerequisites
Junior Year - 2nd Semester

Course Format and Participation Requirements
The format for this course includes scheduled assignments and deadlines, offline reading assignments and projects, online readings and participation using web email, discussion boards, and assignments. The course includes scheduled online quizzes. To be successful in this course, the typical student should plan to spend at least 10 - 12 hours per week working on this course.

Effort Expected
This is a 2-credit-hour course. You should expect to work 5 to 6 hours per week for each credit hour.  To be successful in this course you should expect to spend about 10 - 12 hours a week on readings, assignments, discussions, and other activities. 

Technical Requirements for the Course
Other than the minimum technical requirements for any course, students will need access to Real Player software, and of course, a computer with internet connectivity.

Before the Course Begins
